BIG NIGHT SUMMER EDIT

Memorial Day is our "welcome to summer" invite. We aren't quite there, but we can almost taste it. Big Night is a one stop shop for a happy summer pantry and tabletop.

Turn off the oven and dust off the grill; it’s time to get outdoors this weekend! With Memorial Day here and Summer approaching, it’s time for another Big Night edit. I think they just keep getting better. I “need” almost everything on the site to get our lake house summer ready.

I love these stripes- matching tablecloth and napkins would give a little south of France flare to our little Alabama cabin in the woods as would this bistro flatware. I would like to leave this hand-painted berry bowl out with fresh strawberries for breakfast. This oval platter would be perfect for a light lunch of Colu Henry’s delicious “vacationing in Italy” salad. Our family has a true love for Gruyere cheese so I couldn’t resist this candle (it sadly doesn’t smell like Gruyere cheese). Every summer birthday cake this summer will be topped with these berry candles made by a third generation bee keeping family in California. I like to wake to natural light and force that upon all of our guests (no window coverings). I could, at the very least, offer guests these adorable sleep masks (and maybe a matching robe). Although the summer isn’t oyster season in the South, I might get this and save it for the fall.

We go through a LOT of food in the summer with guests in and out constantly so the simpler the better. No one wants to miss time on the lake so we somehow have to figure out how to have food ready when we come in starving. It is too hot to cook for very long
