8 Dinner Guests
We dreamed up eight unique dinner guests to come together for a vibrant Friendsgiving. Read about their quirks and shop their lifestyle. What cast of characters will be at your table this year?
The table is full of things gathered over the years. It isn’t exactly “put together” as Martha would do it, but the hosts consider it “European” in feel. The guests are greeted with champagne in these beautiful coupes from Found by Maja. In their early professional days in New York, ABC Carpet and Home was all the rage, and they gathered bowls, napkins, water glasses, and plates- all of which they still love. Although now in San Francisco, one of their favorite shops, RW Guild in NYC, is a go-to for a splurge like these gorgeous candle holders that fill the table. While not asparagus season, these Christofle silver tongs from a great aunt come out at every dinner party. The table is covered in their favorite Matouk leopard tablecloth from Sue Fisher King. The buffet is made cheeky with these placecards from the wonderful Houses and Parties. Not short on details, the table includes these salt and pepper shakers and wine coasters. Flowers are done by the lovely Claire Marie of San Francisco. The scene is set for a lovely Friendsgiving.

The Guests
Patsy - 55, big personality, big hair, loud laugh, loves sweets, keeps the party going with a great playlist, has 5 grown kids, successful interior designer, committed to the current fashion trend of all things burgundy or suede. She will bring a VERY nice hostess gift, such as this Murano hand-painted oil bottle. Patsy has been known to gift all her fabulous clients this Dandelion Chocolate advent calendar for the holidays. Her drink of choice is a gin and tonic, and her skin glows from a mix of natural hot flashes and this nourishing face oil. This needlepoint pillow is also a staple in her home office, and she loves to style her client's guestrooms with a pair of these gorgeous lap trays.
Grant - 57 and very focused on health and nutrition, but enjoys a good cocktail. He’s uptight but tries hard not to be. He’s not easy with a laugh, but a great conversationalist after 1 and 1/2 Manhattans. Grant arrives wearing this sensible but fashionable Todd Snyder peacoat smelling fab in his Le Labo Noir. Although a bit self-serving (but thoughtful nonetheless) he contributes Fabbri Amerena Cherries in case they don’t have them on their bar. He is a bit of a francophile and doesn’t read fiction so he gifts one of his favorite books, The Movable Feast by Hemingway. He’s not much of a cook, but an excellent source when it comes to good food. He arrives with the famous and off-menu sashimi from Swan Oyster Depot.
Bea - 42, skinny, eats two bites, downs martinis, loves to flirt, newly single - never married, art consultant, New York transplant. Bea embodies a minimalist style, wearing mostly neutrals but adding intentional color to her outfit in either her shoes, lips, or jewelry. Tonight, she is rocking a high-low fashion moment with these Ralph Lauren leather pants paired with this chic Zara sweater but also considered wearing
